The painter Josef Schützenhöfer was born in Vorau in 1954 and emigrated to America in 1973, where he studied and worked.

1980 - 1984: Bachelor of Art in America
1984 - 1987: Master's degreee in Art/Painting/Printing in America
From 1994 he anttended the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
From 1987 onwards he held many exhibitions in American and Austria
