Museum of local history Grafendorf bei Hartberg
Grafendorf"Museum of peasant culture"
The museum provides insight into the historical development of the region. The oldest traces of settlement date back to the Neolithic Age. Farming and animal husbandry were the basis of the population's livelihood until the recent past. It was only with increasing industrialisation that a fundamental change occurred. The museum displays exhibits ranging from the geological development of the landscape to prehistory and early history, the medieval settlement period and the liberation of the peasants. Old farming equipment and personal testimonies from the local population give an impression of everyday life on an earlier farm in the market town of Grafendorf bei Hartberg.
