Das Zügnerhaus
FürstenfeldThe building history of the house can be traced back to the year 1713 through the ownership history.
However, it can be assumed that it is much older. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the owners of the house were shoemakers and bakers. In 1874, the shoemaker Franz Zügner and his wife Josepha bought the house - in the vernacular, the name "Zügnerhaus" has survived to this day.
Inside the building there is a beautiful wooden beam ceiling, which was uncovered and restored during the renovation work. The 18th century entrance door was also restored to its original condition.
Today, the interior houses the municipal library. The Züngerhaus and the town hall are defining elements of Augustinerplatz.
