Mühlner village tour

The Mühlner Dorfrunde is an idyllic hike and takes us to the Marienwasserfall. Children big and small enjoy spending an exciting, refreshing time there.
If you hike along the romantic path along the waterfall stream, you will not only experience cool relaxation, but also get to know 56 native tree and shrub species. A worthwhile but easy hike.

By car from Germany

From Munich via the A8 towards Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauernautobahn to St. Michael im Lungau. On the B 96 to Tamsweg, then on the B 95 to Predlitz. The B 97 leads via Stadl/Mur to Murau. There at the roundabout towards St. Lambrecht to Murauer train station and further towards St. Lambrecht. Via Laßnitz near Murau you reach St. Lambrecht, which is already in the nature park. Continue towards Mariahof, then to Neumarkt, after Neumarkt and St. Marein turn left towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen in the town center.

Arrival from Eastern Austria/Hungary

At the motorway junction in St. Michael near Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling. In Scheifling continue towards Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. Drive through Neumarkt and St. Marein, then turn left towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen in the town center.

Arrival from southern Austria/Italy

Via Klagenfurt on the S 37 past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad towards Neumarkt. After the gorge and just before St. Marein, turn right towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen in the town center.

You start at the NaturLese island in Mühlen and go past the Gasthof Hirschenwirt on the right towards Jakobsbergs. After 100 meters you come to a fork in the road. There you take the left path. After 400m turn right “Zum Marienwasserfall”. Follow the forest and meadow path. After 200 meters you have reached the Marienwasserfall. You go back along the forest and meadow path. Then turn left and then immediately right. You go down the asphalt path for 300 meters. Once at the bottom, turn left towards Mühlen town center. When you arrive at the starting point, follow the road. Before you reach the Gortschitztal federal road, the Bauernmühle is on the left.
