Mariahof circular hiking trail
A wonderful circular walk through Mariahof!
This is a somewhat longer, but natural walk from Neumarkt via the Furtner pons and Mariahof back to Neumarkt.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Keep going straight here until you get to Neumarkt. Keep right and drive to Mariahof.
Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. Keep right here and drive via Laßnitz and St. Lambrecht to Mariahof.
You start at the fortified church in Mariahof. Then walk in the direction of Hoferdorf. Wehen you arrive in Hoferdorf, you will see the Knappenwirt inn on the right-hand side of the road. There you turn left and follow the path of 200m. Then turn right and fo straight on towards Pichlschloss. In front of the hotel Landsitz Pichlschloss turn right again. At the main road turn left. After a lonf bend, turn left again and you will reach Baierdorf. When you arrive Baierdorf, turn right and walk to the Furtner pond. Pass the Furtner pind pn the right and go straight on until you reach Adendorf. Go through Adendorf and keep right at a small traffic circle and then take the first turn to the left. About 300m before the church you reach an asphalt road on the path through medaow and forest. There you turn left and get back to the starting point.
In summer, be sure to bring swimwear so that you can cool off iin the Furtner pond.
