On the Niederalpl Passhöhe from the Marterl at the Plodererhof our path leads over the Wetterinalm, the Weißalm, the Ochsenboden to the Madonna at the Herrenboden. From there continue in the direction of Schöneben to the Paulaquelle as the 3rd point of the trail . From the Paulaquelle we hike on a forest path further into the Schöneben. There we have to be careful, avoid the forest road and follow the Erzherzog Johann hiking trail, which leads away from the old house in Schöneben, in order to reach the next point, the Siebenbrunnen.
The 5th point is the pilgrim's cross, where we can now deposit our stone. After a refreshment at the Mooshubenwirt, we continue through the Mooshuben, up the Kreuzberg, to the "Luckerten Kreuz" as the penultimate point of this hike. The destination is, how could it be otherwise, the basilica in Mariazell.
At all these points there are signs (see photo) which set tasks. This one-day hike takes about six hours over beautiful alpine pastures and through wonderful scenery. Starting with a stamp at the Plodererhof, then at the Mooshubenwirt and finally at the Kirchenwirt in Mariazell, we can have this pilgrimage tour "confirmed".
Brochures with information and tour map are available. We collect our "stone", which we symbolically carry with us, at Niederalpl and then place it at the pilgrim's cross.
