In summer as well as in winter, Waldbach-Mönichwald is a place for active vacationers: hiking in the Hochwechsel area, a tour from Schwaig to Schwaig or splashing around in the recreational lake make you want to spend your vacation in the flower street village. The fact that the theme of flowers plays a major role among the population is also shown by the flower peacock in the park in Mönichwald, which invites you to enjoy and linger. To come back to the Schwaigen: this is how the huts in the alpine area are called - and there are truly many of them on the Hochwechsel, which will spoil you with a hearty Styrian snack so that you can continue your hike fortified.
In winter it's off to the slopes and off you go! The Hochwechsellifte Mönichwald belong to the ski region Joglland and provide with the best slope conditions for winter fun for the whole family. And for those who prefer cross-country skiing, the Rabl-Kreuz trail is just right - a wonderful natural snow trail with a fantastic view awaits you!
