Allgau
This medium-difficulty bike tour leads from St. Lorenzen ob Murau along the Murradweg to St. Ruprecht, home to the Wood Museum, and along forest trails to Allgau.
The route scores with a picturesque landscape and well-developed roads. The section towards Allgau has little traffic and is therefore an excellent destination for bikers.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Keep right here towards Murau. Drive through Murau to St. Georgen ob Murau. Keep left at the “Wandaler” supermarket. Turn right at the railway track. The information office Kreischberg is on the left.
Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Stadl an der Murau to Lutzmannsdorf. Turn right here and follow the road. Straight ahead at the railway track. The information office Kreischberg is on the right.
The starting point is the Kreischberg information office. From here you cycle along the Murradweg R2 to the Wandritsch train stop. At the stop, turn right and cross the bridge over the Mur and the main road into the Wandritschgraben. Follow this until you reach Allgau. There you cross the Allgaubach, cycle out of the valley on the western side and reach the highest point of the tour at 1,159 m at the Sittersberger junction. Continue out of the valley on the asphalt road until you reach the village of St. Ruprecht. At the Holzmuseum junction, take the western exit through the tunnel under the main road, past the tennis courts to the covered bridge over the Mur (St. Ruprecht train stop). After another 200 meters you get back to the Murradweg R2, on which it goes east again back to the starting point St. Lorenzen am Kreischberg.
