Wine Experience Trail (Wein-Erlebnis-Weg) Bad Loipersdorf

The new theme trail invites you to hike through the charming landscape with many attractions, the wine-rest-places and Buschenschänken around the thermal resort and the village of Bad Loipersdorf.
The title already reveals that it goes primarily to the vineyards and winegrowers of the region. The wine taverns have - if not open anyway - set up so-called "Wein-Rast-Platzln". Three inns and three wine taverns along the route also invite you to quench your hunger and thirst. If the full length is too much for you, you can hike one of the two partial routes.

Wine Experience Trail Bad Loipersdorf - the three circular routes:

  • 16.7 km (large circular trail): Starting point Thermenresort Loipersdorf, pure walking time about 4:30 hours.
  • 10.6 km (variant "Stock & Stein"): Starting point Thermenresort Loipersdorf, pure walking time about 3:00 hours
  • 9 km (variant "step & step"): Starting point center of Bad Loipersdorf, pure walking time about 2:30 hours. This circular route can also be comfortably cycled or walked on with bicycles and baby carriages.

Refreshment stops:
Four Buschenschänken, three inns, three Heurige - and additionally the seven "Wein-Rast-Platzln" (open almost around the clock)

The main attraction of the trail is "Austria's largest walk-in wine bottle with wine glass" - the new wine landmark of Bad Loipersdorf. The oversized wine bottle with wine glass comprises an artistic, walk-through 13-meter-high wooden wine bottle and an 8-meter-high stainless steel wine glass, which also serves as a viewing platform and provides an exhilarating view of the Loipersdorf spa resort all the way to the Wechselland mountains. To walk on and visit at the Lautenberg - near Thermenheuriger Kropf and Thermenresort Loipersdorf.
