The stage of the touring mountain bike route “Der große Jogl” leads from Wenigzell via Miesenbach, Vorau and Waldbach-Mönichwald Strallegg to St. Jakob im Walde.

At around 193 kilometers and 5413 vertical meters, it is also one of the longest continuous bike tours in Styria. The tour leads along forest and meadow paths, forest roads and various road sections to the most beautiful places, most interesting excursion destinations and highest peaks in the region.

A special service along the tour “Der große Jogl” is the luggage transport - simply cycle carefree, without any annoying extra luggage. While you are out and about, your luggage will be taken to your next stage destination (by 17:00 at the latest).

By car:
From Vienna: via the A2, exit Pinggau - Friedberg, Rohrbach an der Lafnitz, Mönichwald, Waldbach, Wenigzell

From Graz: via the A2, exit Gleisdorf, Kaindorf, Pöllau bei Hartberg, Schloffereck, direction Vorau, left after the Kreuzwirt to Wenigzell

We start in Wenigzell and ride past the church to the “Toter Mann” junction

Now there are two options:

1. we ride to the Wildwiese
2. we take a leisurely ride through the center of Miesenbach.
Now we continue to the Schloffereck
From the Schloffereck we ride to the Kreuzwirt inn
From there we continue to the Masenberg
Now we ride via Puchegg back to Vorau
At the Augustinian Canons' Monastery in Vorau and head towards the market center
We cross the main road and follow the Dörflweg
After approx. 2 km we turn into a wooded area
We follow this path until we reach an asphalt road
The asphalt road leads us to Waldbach-Mönichwald
We continue in the direction of the Hochwechse lifts
We pass the Hotel Schwengerer
We ride further and further up to the Hochwechsel
We ride via the Rabl-Kreuz-Hütte to the Arzberghütte
