Your journey to the Murau region

By car, bus, train or plane: Holidaymakers can travel to the Murau region by numerous means of transport.

… BY CAR

From Germany

From Munich, you can take the A8 motorway to Salzburg. From Salzburg, you’ll continue on the A10 Tauern motorway to St. Michael im Lungau. From there, take the B96 to Tamsweg and then the B95 to Predlitz. Continuing on the B97, you will soon reach the Murau region.

From southern Austria and Italy

From Klagenfurt, the S37 will take you past St. Veit an der Glan, Treibach and Friesach. Continue on B317 Friesacher Straße, and you will soon reach the Murau region.

From Eastern Austria

From Vienna, your journey will take you along the A23 motorway, which merges with the E59. Take the Bruck an der Mur exit and then continue on the S36 Murtal Schnellstraße. The B317 Friesacher Straße then takes you to the Murau region.

… by bus and train

Simply get on, take your seat, and get off at your destination: Travelling by public transport is relaxed and easy. Buses and trains from all directions have their stops in the Murau region.

The region has good train connections and five stations in the towns of Murau, Neumarkt in der Steiermark, Mariahof, Scheifling and Predlitz.
